读杂书,每遇饕餮之处,口欲垂涎,求之若鹜,不可得,乃志之,以图将来。是为序。

八珍素包(p164)
咸包用馅为冬菇、木耳、笋干、老豆腐,切成丁,以极细的菜泥拌之。甜包用馅为松子、核桃、黑枣,切碎,拌以菜泥。
 
荷花旗枪茶(p172)
明前龙井茶,一片两叶,舒者似旗,卷者似枪,故名“旗枪”。以皮纸裹成小包,于夏日后半夜,在荷花欲开时,塞入花苞;待日出花开后,收回茶包,以锡罐密封。
 
两吃西湖醋鱼(p149-151)
鱼一尾,去鳞去脏,落锅,一面醋溜,一面做鱼生。鱼生面切成薄丝状长条,类似妇人鬓脚,俗称“带鬓”。
